Overview of Ministry Activity
As part of the work in St. Petersburg, ROH is working in 3 prisons: one with 1,000 boys, another with 500 boys, and one with up to 100 girls. In recent tests, the HIV/AIDS rate of children in these prisons was 60-70%. They contracted AIDS either through sexual exploitation on the streets prior to entering prison or inside the prison.
We are also working with the 70,000+ street children and children in the terminally ill children's hospital.
