With all of the advancements of modern society, the world today has not proven to be a safe place for children.  Civil strife, government collapse, moral vacancy and poverty are just a few of things that put children at risk today.  Children are left orphans by either death of a parent or abandonment, they are at risk to a plethora of diseases and malnutrition, they are the objects of abuse and servitude and they need someone to be their voice, to enter into their world with a helping hand.
